Program Overview
Learn more about the Town of Smyrna government procedures and decisions that directly affect you by becoming a member of the next Citizens Government Academy. The Town of Smyrna is accepting applications to the Academy, which provides insight into local government.
What you'll learn
Participants will learn about the diverse range of services offered by the Town, including key areas such as planning, finance, public works, and public safety. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour key facilities, talk with Town officials, and gain a new perspective on the inner workings of their local government.
Program Details
Classes:
Mondays, March 2, 2025 – April 27, 2026, beginning at 6:00 PM (8 weeks). No class on March 30, 2026.
Tours:
Includes a tour of Town of Smyrna facilities.
Eligibility:
Free and open to Town of Smyrna residents who are 18 years of age or older.
