Several Town meetings are broadcast on the Town’s government cable channel.
Comcast Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse Channel 99.
Meetings are also streamed online.
Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated §8-44-112 and the Town’s written policy, public comment may be made during certain periods at applicable meetings as follows:
Town Council Meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm in the Council Chambers, 315 South Lowry Street. Exceptions to this schedule will be announced and changed by council resolution. Agendas and Minutes of these meetings are made available to the public for their benefit. At least forty-eight hours in advance of the Council Meeting, an agenda will be available on the website or at Town Hall for pickup during regular business hours.
To be placed under Public/Citizen Comments at a Town Council meeting, an individual must:
- Call the Town Clerk's office, (615) 615.267.5028, fill out the online form , or email amber.hobbs@townofsmyrna.org prior to 4:30 p.m. on the business day before the scheduled meeting and request to be placed under citizen comments
- Provide his or her name, address and telephone number
- State the purpose of addressing the Council
Speakers are limited to three (3) minutes. Additional comments may be submitted in writing.
