Finance Director

A Murfreesboro native and graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Sierra Lowry holds a degree in accounting and began her career with the Town of Smyrna as an intern during her final semester of studies. Since then, she has steadily advanced through the Finance Department, most recently serving as Assistant Finance Director. In that role, she led the coordination of the Town’s annual budget and audit processes, bringing both precision and purpose to her work.

Sierra is passionate about the connection between day-to-day financial operations and the long-term well-being of the community. Her commitment to Smyrna’s fiscal health and strategic growth has made her an invaluable member of the team.

As Finance Director, Sierra is excited to continue serving the community in this role. She looks forward to guiding the department in aligning Smyrna’s small-town values with its forward-looking goals, ensuring a high quality of life for all residents.

Outside of work, Sierra enjoys reading, road-tripping with her husband, and tackling puzzles. Her latest hobbies, gardening and recreational swimming, have proven both humbling and rewarding.
