Brush & Leaf Collection (Curbside)
Curbside brush service in Smyrna

With fall here, many residents clean up leaves and limbs. The Town of Smyrna offers a free curbside brush service for residents. The program is very active, with approximately $150,000–$200,000 spent annually on personnel and equipment.

  • Residential service only — no pickup at multi-family residences or commercial properties.
  • Place brush/limbs curbside following Town guidelines.

The Town of Smyrna, with Murfreesboro and Rutherford County, follows guidance from the Tennessee Department of Health and UT Agricultural Extension Service. We do not spray in right-of-ways due to health risks and limited effectiveness, but we place larvicide cakes in Town right-of-ways where there is standing water.

Personal repellent remains the most effective protection. For additional information, visit the State of Tennessee:

The Town remains in contact with the Public Health Department and will adjust control measures if recommendations change.
