Council Member

As a life-long Smyrna resident I am proud of the way in which our community has developed over the years. I believe we have been able to retain much of our small town ambiance while adding many people and amenities to our great town. Serving on the Smyrna Town Council has been rewarding over the years and allowed me the opportunity to stay in touch with the community.

Growing up in Smyrna and attending Smyrna schools has offered me an appreciation for the small town values instilled in me and I believe those same opportunities should be afforded to our children and our grandchildren.

Throughout the years I have served as Commissioner of Parks and Recreation for seven years and then as a Council member under the Town Manager form of government. Additionally, I have served as a board member of the Smyrna Senior Citizens, the Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County, North Rutherford Soccer and trustee of the Sam Davis Home. I was awarded the Optimist of the Year award in 1986 and the Victory Lifetime achievement award in 2004. I am a member of the Smyrna Rotary Club and a proud Charter Member of SiMA - Smyrna Independent Merchants Association. I enjoy spending time with my family, community service, soccer, travel and enjoying life to the fullest.

After more than forty years working as a local independent business owner I retired in 2022. I began my career working as a youngster in the family pharmacy business and became manager prior to opening LubePro's of Smyrna. Being an independent small business owner gave me insight and lessons of which have proved valuable when applied to the business of the Town. I look forward to continuing to serve the Town of Smyrna.
