Marc Adkins Vice Mayor

As a resident of Smyrna since 1970, I have had the pleasure of serving with our Smyrna Town Council since 2009. Since 1996, I have volunteered my time by serving on the Smyrna Municipal Planning Commission as chairman, the Smyrna Historic Planning Commission as chairman, the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Industrial Development Board, the Smyrna Arts Commission, and several additional study committees, including the Metropolitan Study Committee.

As a graduate of Smyrna High School in 1975, I went on to study Mass Communications at Middle Tennessee State University. My wife Connie and I married in 1981 and we have two adult children. Amber and Adam who both live locally with their families and our six awesome grandchildren. I have been a real estate broker since 1987 working in Smyrna with Parks Realty. Connie and I are active members of Lifepoint Church in Smyrna.

We have lived and loved the quality of life that Smyrna has to offer. I enjoy playing golf, motorcycle riding, and spending time with family and friends. A homegrown product, it’s a true privilege to be able to serve my hometown of Smyrna, TN.
