Paul Johns Neighborhood Park

Paul Johns Neighborhood Park is the true definition of a neighborhood park. This 9-acre property was donated to the town by the CFIJ Partnership for the purpose of building a park. Surrounded by numerous homes the town cut the ribbon and opened this park in 2004.  The park is one of the few linear parks in the park system.  Staff created a highly used park by installing a shelter, playground, restrooms, .5 mile walking trail, a basketball court, and appropriate parking.  This park emphasizes wellness with its proximity to existing and future homes.

This park is popular for families who walk to the park in lieu of driving to the facility. The park serves as a trailhead for walkers and runners who utilize the park walking trail and wide sidewalks located on Rock Springs Road.  Via sidewalks, walkers and runners can start at Rock Springs Park and navigate their way throughout the west side of Smyrna.
